A sneaky one day swell popped up on Thursday and made sure everyone's sinuses got properly rinsed. Some bombs, some barrels and some very long rides to be had. Of course if you missed it, by the next day it was totally flat... The pro circus has hit town as the Corona Pro starts today (can't get used to calling it that - still the Billabong to me). That meant that Supers was showcasing some super hot talent. And crowds were thick. It was a kinda feast or famine week - either bogger all or cooking. Didn't deter those who were determined to get wet though, still plenty of lovely days to go for a swim with your surfboard. At least more chance of catching a wave than if you just stayed in the carpark. Winter went into hiding for a few days with some beautiful weather making for mid-winter summer days. The chokka season started, so expect to see plenty of boats dotting the bay. Specially when the weather goes pear-shaped and they run for cover. Those at Donkey Bay this week were also running for cover - as in cover-ups. Coupla local PE surfers made the trek westwards to score the draining left hander and got some cool shots of the view. Local charger Josh Saunders is on the cover of the latest Boardtalk mag dropping into a bomb. Logger Gregg Clarke bumped into a coupla well-known peeps at the airport last week - some familiar looking bald ou and another dude with with more hair. The beaut weather meant some beaut sunsets, throw in a bit of sea mist and you have a winner. Like this shot of the wildside at Seals. Nothing like the dawn of a new day to present a world of opportunity - will there be waves... The charts for this week look pretty stellar - so expect some good waves at JBay for the comp. Yeeeuw!! Just don't bother trying to watch it on the FB live stream - cos (a) it won't be working or (b) the annoying lil emoticons flying continuously up the side of your screen will drive you nuts. Whoever came up with the dumbass idea of migrating the live feed to FB should be tarred n feathered. Progress is meant to imply improvement. Rather just hop in the car and go watch it live.
