Life's all about perspective. I looked out the window this morning to see yet another typical spring/summer day - meaning bogger all surf. Thanked my lucky stars I hooked a really fun surf at Hummies yesterday. But my "bogger all" surf surf doesn't necessary translate into booger-all for everyone. Halfway through the Wales/France contest, which wasn't particularly absorbing as games go, the eternal optimist in me decided to check out the window for surf....only to see something not often seen at Millers....two people on one board. A quick check through the binoc's revealed it was Anthony, a Millers regular, out with his lightie perched on the front of his board. I grabbed my camera and hopped over the road to get a quick pic of the cool father/daughter hang-out time. When they came in Jaime proudly told me that she was 6, and this was her first time out at Millers, and that it was "quite rough out there!" So there we go....someone had overhead surf in PE today!! Plenty of advantages to being a lil tick on the front of dad's board, you don't have to paddle, just hang on, plus you get to hang onto dad's neck and avoid the nasty rocks on the way out the surf! Life is good :-)

Loved, loved, loved this article! That is my niece and brother-in-law out there and this one is so totally worthy of being brought out at Jaime's 21st!! Comments are closed.
