"Wow! What a contest. To all those who surfed in the EP Open, to all those who helped, to all those who watched - thank you. We had our best ever comp. Record numbers, lots of new faces, plenty of juniors - so cool to see. Thanks to Billabong and Grant Beck, Brett Hoppe and the Boardwalk, and Benn Koppen Beer, for sponsoring prizes, to the Boardroom for providing a wonderful venue for our prize giving, and to our judges, Kia Fenton, Issy, Luqmaan, Pete and Cuan for keeping it real. Was such a great day in the sun."
