Hurley Pro @ Trestles

Here comes event no 7 on the World Tour. The Hurley Pro at Trestles might not see death barrels or perfect pits, palm trees or crystal clear water....but what you are guaranteed is some stellar high performance surfing. What you might not see are any Superman airs (aka Froggers) after the ou's dissed them proper in the recent Fly me to the Moon episode! But for sure there's gonna be something that makes ya jaws drop. And that's always cool.

The next 3 comps are almost back to back, so if ou's can start off strong at Trestles there's a good chance they can carry form in to Europe...and make a serious challenge on the world title. So who's in the mix? 

Is it Slater's year?

Joel's keen. The man has flow. Trestles has flow. It could work. Jordy's had a good year. Plus he's living close by at the moment and surfing there whenever it's on. He might need to shift gears & try grab himself a title before he settles down into marital bliss. The J crew aka John John and Julian are gonna be hard to beat too. Style and flair extraordinaire. John John will no doubt punt something massive.

Trestles is a good lever - you can't rely on grabbing rail and getting pitted, you have to do something. But something interesting, something novel.
