2014 was the best year ever for EP Surfing. We smoked it! Groms 2nd ; Juniors 2nd ; Opens 1st; Masters 3rd; Vic Bay Quad 1st; Long boards 1st; SA Club champs – JBU 1st. Props to all our surfers for getting us those great results. Thanks as well to our committed judges. Grant Beck, Ishmaeel Abrahams and Merrick Fairall clocked up over 1000 hours between them in judging our comps. Respect! You owe them all waves too! The 2014 EP Surfing annual prize giving & AGM was held at the end of January at the Boardwalk Hotel, with some great prizes from Billabong. Thanks to both Boardwalk and Billabong for their continued support of EP Surfing, and to our dedicated committee who makes it all happen. Dave, Shireen, Johnny, Shirley, Etienne, Andre and Brian - thanks so much for all the hard work you do behind the scene. You are so much part of making EP such a successful surfing province. Unfortunately we have to say goodbye to both Johnny and Brian, who due to their Surfing South Africa commitments are unable to stand for the EPSC Executive. Everyone owes these two a good few set waves in thanks of all the effort they've put in to surfing in our province. Mervyn Goddard and Brett Hoppe have been selected to replace them. The 2014 Special awards were as follows, well done to all the deserving recipients. Dylan Lightfoot is our Surfer of the Year, with Emma Smith as our Female Surfer of the year; Joshe Faulkner & Kirsty McGillivray take the Junior Surfers of the Year awards.
