Day 2 Hurley SA Junior Champs

Lekker - so far all the EP lighties are still in the comp at the end of Day 2. Day 2 saw the girls hitting the water for the first time, and our chicks absolutely ripped. Mini-grom Kai Woolfe surfed a blistering heat - racking up the highest heat total of the event so far. 17.00 points for an u13 is flipping impressive. You go girl!

The boys who were relegated to the 2nd round picked up their game and came back strong, all getting themselves into Rd 3.

Lekker to see good old fashioned initiation still happening in our team...had heard rumours that SA Surfing had disallowed it, which is pretty flipping lame. Anyone who's ever played a team sport has been initiated - it's a right of passage and it's rather pathetic to want to ban it. Kids aren't some fragile lil fairies, they're tough lil critters and being chucked in a dustbin or getting a siff haircut never killed anyone. Tis all part of the fun. Good on ya Dylan Lightfoot for getting loose with a razor on those kids.
