Pipe 4 Sept '10

Picture
Luke Bakker by Ang Slabbert
Ang Slabbert got some shots of small Pipe this Saturday. We've had a dismal run of surf lately, but if the winds play the game Tuesday might be fun.

Pipe 7 Sept '10

Picture
Jaryd Mason
Ang Slabbert was on hand to capture all the action that went down at Pipe. She got some classic shots. Check em out.

The B side shots

Picture
Josh McWilliams falling alseep on the job
Back in the day you used to by a record single with the song you wanted on the A side, and some kak song on the B side. This selection of shots from Ang are by no means B side, but the moves in them are. Wipeouts galore. Check it out.

Millers 7 Sept '10

Picture
Carl Barnard hooking it off the top
A SE swell that didn't quite deliver. Bryan was out there on what looked like an ironing board, and Chain was trying to convince us it was summer by doing the baggie and Tshirt approach. See what went down.

Greg Betts water shots

Picture
Mark Khan at Rincon
Greg sent in some killer water shots taken in the surf around PE. He's amping to get out there in a good swell. Make sure you don't ride over his pip! Check out what he had on file.

Luc Hosten's Avo's shots 16 Sept

Picture

Luc got some great shots at Avo's yesterday afternoon. Go check out the guys ripping some decent sized surf.

Millers 16 Sept '10

Picture
Mr Jones on a smaller one
Millers only started to wake up after 5pm, too wind affected earlier. A few good sized sets popped just before dark - no shots of those as I was in the water! One in particular cleared up the whole pack.

Rincon 16 Sept '10

Picture
Elton giving it a smack
Rincon was probably the pick of the bunch today, and most peeps seem to know that as there was a pretty heavy crowd by Rincon standards. Standout whilst I was there was Tony & this guy on the blue board - what's his name?

Avo's 16 Sept '10

Picture
Avo's had some good sized sets, but the wind made for some hairy take-offs. The bodyboarders seemed to be handling best. Still needs some more sand as rather fat still, even at size.

Frikki shoots some A grade Fence

Picture
Donovan Zoetmulder shacked at Fence
Frikki Greybe was on hand to catch all the action going down at Fence on Monday. The east swell dished up some cooking waves, and the quality of the surfing matched the wave quality. Check it out.

Pipe 29 Sept '10

Picture
Wes styling at Pipe
Ang Slabbert was on hand to get some cool shots from Pipe on Wednesday. Such a lekker day that everyone and the kitchen sink was out there. Check out the action.

Pipe 30 Sept '10

Picture
And the time is 12pm exactly. Image Ang Slabbert.
Better late than never. Here's Ang Slabbert's shots from last Thursday. One of the best day's in a while, which isn't saying much! Still, glassy 3-4ft isn't to be sniffed at. Check out the action here.

Luc Hosten's Wipeout collection

Picture
About to get swallowed alive.
Luc sent us some classic wipeout shots from his files. Some pretty big waves going to waste amongst them. Funny how the difference between a killer shot & a wipeout is a matter of seconds. Hero to zero.
