Real-time live wave & weather info
The Surfline Pipe surf report is based on Surfline's hourly swell charts for Pipe, PE for today, combined with a live weather feed from a weather station at NMMU - about as close to the beach as you'll get! So what you see below is pretty much what's happening at Pipe RIGHT NOW!
Just for a laugh I've added the "real" (i.e. Hawaiian) Pipeline report as well - and guess what, sometimes our Pipe's surf is actually better than Pipeline's!!

Pipe - Port ElizabethFor wind speed, multiply knots by 2 to get km/h. Well, it's actually x 1.852, but let's see you do that math in your head quick! Just doubling it is close enough. To get Farenheit to Celcius, minus 32, then divide the remaining number by 1.8 (call it 2 to make it easier). Problem is, if I set the report to metric, it ends up giving us the swell height in meters too - and NO-ONE talks about a 1.5m swell, feet is how we talk about swell.! So unfortunately an all or nothing scenario...
