Main photographic contributers
Here's a brief heads-up on the guys and gals that provide all the eye candy for the site. Some are pro's, for others it's a hobby, but for all it's a passion. We welcome shots from anyone out there, provided they're of decent quality. Drop me a mail (CLICK HERE), but first just read the "how to submit" section for additional details before doing so.
Luc Hosten![]() Going green not grey.
Without Luc the surf mags wouldn't even know PE existed. You'll find him wherever the surf's good, hard to miss with his massive lens (& beard). Luc earns his crust shooting, so do your bit to keep him keen on surf photography by buying high res copies of your shots from him when you see em featured on the site. Check out his FB site here, as well as our interview with him.

Dirk Erasmus
Dirk's the big guy in the yellow Jeep Wrangler - hard to miss! He's into all sorts of action photography and is a certified 4x4 nut. He's also trying his hand at kiteboarding after shooting the kites for a while. We're kinda offended he hasn't tried surfing yet - but that's maybe a good thing cos he shoots it instead!
Check out Dirk's webpage here. |
Ang Slabbert
Ang is an up & coming part-time surf photag. She shoots in the arvie's after work & at w/ends. Main spot is at Pipe, or wherever else there's good waves. Get in touch with Ang to see whether she has shots of you on file & you can then buy a CD full of you ripping!

Stan Blumberg
Stan's an old PE surfer from back in the day. He shoots in PE when the surf's big, mainly Clubhouse. He gets some amazing shots at JBay & Seals, as is out that way most weekends. He's a guru at stitching surf action sequences together. Check more of Stan's images available on the web here.

Kody McGregor
Kody is a freelance photag specialising in music, portraits, fashion, commercial and surf photography. Check out his kiff website here. He takes some insane water shots, so go ahead and book him for a shoot (click here for email). He also grabbed the first PE Zag cover with Donno. Respect!

Kerry Wright
I only shoot if I've already surfed enough for the day, or it's too big or windy for me! All the photo galleries you see on the site that aren't credited with a name in brackets after the title, or say ML, are taken by me.

Rory Jones
"1 time bodyboarder (showed Warri the ropes back in the day). Lived in London for 8 years & just
returned to PE for this year before I head to Brazil. Been shooting for about 10 years and have been fortunate totravel fairly extensively taking in the major surf spots in South America, Mexico, Indo, Europe and Australia." Check out Rory's FB page, Cruel-Sea Images, for more of his shots. |
Josh McWilliams
Josh's a surfer, but when he's had enough waves he grabs the camera and shoots his mates. Nice to be on both sides of the lens. Pretty cool hobby to pick up when you a lightie, imagine the shots he'll be reeling off in years to come.

Jonathan Pledger
"My ballie owned Faith footwear and has been ripping Supers/Seals/P.E for 40 odd years on his knee-board. I use to be heavy into my bodyboarding, but had to trade the sea for the African bush as I became a Game Ranger for 5 years. Developed a passion for photography out there, but now that im back in town and in the rat race, I'm taking my passion back to the sea"

Greg Betts
Greg's a part-time photag who specialises in nature shots. Check out his site (www.actionexposed.co.za) He's started longboarding again, so is getting into surf photography. Watch for him out in the surf getting amazing water shots. Try not to ride over him! Check out Greg's interview here.

Frikkie Greybe
Frikkie's a surfer who also happens to take a mean photo. You'll often find him down at the Fence, getting all those barrels covered. You can check out his shots on his Facebook site, FG Surf. He's currently studying towards an MBA, whilst still working full-time. No easy task. Which also means finding time to fit in surf photography can be a challenge. So appreciate his shots even more ou's!

Craig Cuff
Craigs a well known longboarder, who is also a full time photag. He earns his crust taking shots of houses n stuff, so unfortunately we don't get him doing surf shots often enough. The header picture of the Millers line-up on the Home page was shot by him from my lounge window. He also shot the header pic on the Latest Shots page. You can check his website out here.
