Millers 16 Mar '11

Had a surf at Millers first thing this morning. Size wasn't a problem with some well overhead sets, but for some reason Millers was being it's big fat self - so despite the good size there wasn't much juice unfortunately....and a hell rip compounded matters. Things got a bit better as the tide pushed in, and although the size dropped off quite a bit the shape improved somewhat. But donder, it was a circus out there. At one stage 30 ou's in the water hussling the crap outta each other. Problem was that by midday Millers was pretty much the only spot with a rideable wave. Decided it'd be a better idea to rather grab the GoPro and swim out for some shots, instead of getting irritated trying to nab a wave amongst the "anything that floats" chaos. Ended up having a jol, despite nearly collecting Big Dave and his 12ft shortboard on the head!
