The guys you'll always see at your local break. Sometimes they're the one's who surf there whether it's 6 inches or 6 foot, others only come out the woodwork when it's cooking. Either way, they've all done their time, and deserve some recognition.

Mark's made a comeback to surfing after 20 years outta the water. He lost his leg in a car accident coming back from a surf trip to the Kei in 1990. Read his inspirational story about how he eventually got himself back in the water, & is as stoked as ever on his 5 fin.

Barry is a common fixture at Millers and Pipe. He's also still a pretty hot soccer player, and once even beat Park's first team rugby's kicker in a place kicking competition for poles!

John Scheepers -The Patron Saint of the Parking Lot
Local legend John Scheepers, the king of the surf check. If John spent as much time in the water as he did checking out the surf and deliberating about whether to get in, I reckon he'd have the highest wave count in SA.
