July was like a McDonald's burger, all bun and bogger all burger - there were waves at the start and the end of the month and then zero in between. The Bong suffered a serious wave drought, and if JBay is flat then just imagine how bad PE is! Let's hope July is the bad apple of winter and things perk up in August.

The Bloodscan series went down in super fun conditions at Pipe on Sunday. Zane got some good shots of the lighties ripping in the comp, as well as the free surf going down at Clubhouse. He musta have had eye's in the back of his head to keep pace!

Shew, some waves to break the drought at last. Been a long haul since the purple patch in early June. Dirk enjoyed the sunny weather and grabbed some shots of the Bloodscan series at Pipe, as well as the ou's having fun at Clubhouse.

Super fun glassy conditions, as long as you didn't mind a plethora of longboarders and some long waits for sets. Nice enough day to sit out there and enjoy the down time anyway. Grabbed a few shots after I'd finished surfing.

Zane grabbed a coupla shots at Avo's on Friday arvo, but then got distracted by the birds instead - the feathered not the bikini clad variety! You were wise to get in teh water Friday cos that was pretty much the end of the swell for 2 weeks now.

Jbay fired, and PE kinda just puttered along. Things certainly improved late arvo, but when I popped down to shoot a few at avo's just after lunch it was fun, but not firing. No worries, the guys still took it apart. Check out the shots.

There was much expectation for today, but it just didn't quite deliver. The wind went WSW through to SE in the space of 20 minutes, so the hoped for glass-off didn't transpire. Still some good waves at Avo's n Clubhouse despite the WSW bump.

Stan also braved the lements to go get some shots donw at the Pipe. Guys were having a jol in the clean lil waves. Damn, pity I didn't bother to mission up there to have a look, cos Millers was maxing out at 1ft!! Check out Stan's shots.

Chilly willy was a bear...that was what the air temp felt like yesterday. Thanksfully the water actually wasn't so bad, so provided you had some coverage on your pip, you could be toasty. Zane braved the winter chills to shoot the regular Friday crew at Pipe. Check it out.
