September is always the month that gets the biggest swell. But the swell that arrived on Spring Day 2008 and was a monster. It washed up into the car park at Something Good (and managed to put a rock through the window of Luc's combi in the process). The guys were out charging massive Clubhouse, both tow-in and paddle. Some absolutely brain retarded lighties decided to try their luck and paddled out at Pipe. Within minutes they were swept across by the rip from hell and taken on a rather hairy trip within uncomfortably close proximity to avo's rock. We all thought they were toast. Luckily they got swept past it not onto it, and eventually washed in past Chomp Rock. Note to all lighties.....if your balls are bigger than your brains or surfing ability, it's gonna end in tears! Rather stay on dry land and watch the experienced ou's. Etienne, Gustav, Mark Jucker and co. were out there getting the bombs.
