Wayne & Vince Barne's hit Indo
After many moons of dreaming and wishing, the reality of going to Indo finally came into being in 2009. Jay (my mate), my father Vince and I jetted off to Bali for a taste of cheap milk and honey, some cold Bintangs and some warm water barrels.
We were greeted with super warm tropical weather and water. We spent 30 days on the Buket peninsula, living on Uluwatu's door step. We scored waves every day, our timing was perfect!
We stayed in accommodation with some locals that my mates and I know, and surfed all over the west coast of Bali. We also ventured to the eastern side of the island to surf Nusa Dua.
We went in search of a few secret spots and found some radical breaks which so many people miss and don’t know of. Many deep barrels were had, many bintangs drunk, many epic parties in Kuta, just way too many people in the water.
It was such a jol, and barrels - well I'll let the pic's have their say....
Looking forward to Bali 2011. I'm arranging a trip, so if anyone is looking to experience Indo, they can get hold of me and I'll supply details.
