Mid April saw a coupla days of surf come through at Millers and Pipe. Dirk got some good shots of the guys ripping. The end of the month saw JBay and Seals going off their collective pips during the holidays and the week after - and PE getting roundly skunked. We just got the wind not the surf. Luckily most of the PE regulars were out at Seals for those 2 weeks - so it was pretty much PE surfers, just on a different canvas. Flying high was 1 way to avoid the crowds!
And still the waves came. The 7th straight day of cooking surf out at Seals. Unfortunately the crowds were still onto it. Crazy coloured water and some interesting burns kept things fresh. Stan caught all the action. Check it out here.
Barrel Thursday Barrels galore
Barrels galore. Thick, round, sand dredging shacks. A gaping right running off the rocks into the corner. A massive left ledging into the rip down the beach. Bust boards. Sand in places it shouldn't be. Worth it. Check out the crazy action here.

JBay 26 April '11 (Stan) Screaming Jbay
As skunked as PE was, JBay scored. Perfect, albeit windy, lines streamed down the point. Big on Tuesday, bigger on Wednesday. Double overhead sets sorted out the men from the boys. Plenty of water moving about to deal with. Check out Stans shots.

Seals Easter Monday Brad going off
The Easter Bunny just kept on delivering. Monday was smaller and more inconsistent, but still plenty waves to go araound. Crowds had mellowed a bit too, only 20 instead of 30 ou's! Check out the PE locals getting some great waves.

Rule of thumb is there's always waves over Easter. Hasn't been so true in the past coupla years, but at least this year there's been a bit of swell for a change. Nothing gangbusta, but certainly god enough to keep everyone happy. Check it out

Seals Good Friday Chaim going vert
PE got skunked for swell on Friday, despite predictions earlier in the week that it'd be cooking (admittedly by yesterday the charts had downgraded). Neighboring JBay and Seals did score however. Solid surf despite the light onshore.

Humewood 19 April '11 Brett on a screamer
Ducked down to Hummies for a quick lunch-break. Some east swell surviving the onshore. Guys were getting the odd keeper amongst the closeouts and sections. Mid to late morning seemed the best of it. Check it out.

Pipe 15 April '11 (Josh) Friday smackdown
Josh Mc was down at Pipe doing some judging in the Grey/Paul Roos match up, and afterwards got some fun shots of the surf and the antics in the car park - just as interesting as the surf action most of the time. Check out the shots here.

Millers 15 April '11 A Millers barrel - something outta the ordinary
Landed from JHB and hit the water straight away. Was over the lumpy east swell conditions pretty quick though. Kinda hard after tropical perfection! Went and grabbed the camera instead to get some last minute late arvie shots. Check em out.

Things picked up on Friday, and by the arvie the breaks were packed with peeps angling to get a wave to start off the weekend. The guys at Pipe were throwing out some good airs. Just go for some different grabs tho ou's. Check out Dirk's shots here.
